Sully’s story

Sully came into our care Christmas 2023.

He had been found roaming the streets of London and he was in a very bad state.  We were sent some photos of him at a vets and we couldn’t not offer him a place.

When Sully arrived, he was painfully thin and had several sores. His tummy was also in a very bad way after who knows what he’d been eating to try to survive. He was so friendly and happy from the get go and seemed so appreciative to be somewhere safe. He was immediately put on 4 small meals per day to try and slowly build him up.

Sully enjoyed charging round our orchard area and being very silly. He did enjoy walks too but he did find busy areas and passing cars a little worrying, which was understandable as he had clearly been straying for a while before he came to us.

It didn’t take long for Sully to start to look and feel much better. He steadily put weight on and started to flourish and was healthy enough to undergo being neutered. After a few months he went out on a trial period but unfortunately, the resident dog and Sully didn’t quite click and so he came back to us.  He was then visited by Joanne who fell in love with him immediately. After a few visits he went off on trial which he passed with flying colours.

Sully now enjoys life with his mum and his feline friend, Ziggy. 🐈‍⬛  His confidence with being out and about has grown further and he’s transformed even more. He’s a gentle giant now absolutely living his best life. 🥰
