He is a big bundle of energy and is very friendly with everyone he meets, although he can be a little excitable and bouncy at times.
In 2025, Zach tore the cruciate ligaments in both knees and underwent TPLO surgery on each one (the first in July 2025 and the second in September 2025). He went through a long recovery with us and was the best behaved boy throughout all of his appointments and handling. He also received regular massage and laser therapy, which he absolutely loved.
Since recovering, Zach has gained a new zest for life. He can be strong on the lead due to his enthusiasm, but he does settle down. He now wears a Dogmatic Head Collar on walks, which has made a huge difference.
Zach can be reactive around other dogs, although he has been making good progress. He would need to be the only dog in the home and would suit someone, ideally with experience of large, active breeds, who is happy to continue supporting him with his training.
Zach loves playing with toys, charging around our orchard area, and then coming over for a fuss afterwards. He can sometimes be a little clumsy and forget that he’s a big dog when he wants cuddles, so he’ll need someone who can continue encouraging his good manners.
He is a very loving boy who would make a wonderful companion for the right person.

Step 2
We Start the Search
With your details in hand, we’ll start matching you with the dogs in our care. You don’t need to do anything else – we’ll get in touch as soon as we find a potential match.
Step 3
Meet Your New Best Friend
If we’ve found a dog that seems right for you, we’ll invite you to meet them. Some pups may need a few visits to feel comfortable, but all of this helps us make sure it’s a good fit.
Step 4
Reserve Your Pup
Ready to make it official? We’ll guide you through all the paperwork and reserve your four-legged friend while you get everything set for their arrival.
Step 5
Take Them Home
Once all the necessary checks are completed, you’ll take your new pup home for your one-month adoption trial.
Step 6
Not the Right Fit? No Problem
If life takes a turn or things don’t click, we’ll always welcome our dogs back with open arms and zero judgement – whether it’s during the trial period or after.
