Alan came into our care after being found as a stray. He can be quite aloof at times and also quite stubborn which can be typical of an Akita. He likes to do his own thing one minute, then he switches to goofy, playful mode and enjoys a good fuss. He is a very sweet boy looking to make someone a lovely companion.
Alan is dog reactive and can be a bit of a grumpy bum. He has been ok when sat in the vets and just had a bit of a grumble under his breath at another dog, he just would rather other dogs not get too close so we’re looking for a home where he is the only dog and with someone with Akita experience.

Spotted a dog you love? Start by filling in our online adoption form or giving us a call, where you’ll tell us about your lifestyle and the kind of pup you’re hoping to take home.
Step 2
We Start the Search
With your details in hand, we’ll start matching you with the dogs in our care. You don’t need to do anything else – we’ll get in touch as soon as we find a potential match.
Step 3
Meet Your New Best Friend
If we’ve found a dog that seems right for you, we’ll invite you to meet them. Some pups may need a few visits to feel comfortable, but all of this helps us make sure it’s a good fit.
Step 4
Reserve Your Pup
Ready to make it official? We’ll guide you through all the paperwork and reserve your four-legged friend while you get everything set for their arrival.
Step 5
Take Them Home
Once all the necessary checks are completed, you’ll take your new pup home for your one-month adoption trial.
Step 6
Not the Right Fit? No Problem
If life takes a turn or things don’t click, we’ll always welcome our dogs back with open arms and zero judgement – whether it’s during the trial period or after.
